Educational extracurricular activities as an essential part of the educational process are aimed at ensuring harmonious holistic personality development, formation of students\u2019 humanist world view, social and political orientation, morality and culture, education based on national traditions as well as cultural and historical achievements of the Ukrainian people.<\/p>\n
The University created favourable conditions for students\u2019 interesting leisure activities. Different social activities take place almost every day. The traditional ones became such events as \u2018Initiation into a Student\u2019, \u2018Freshers\u2019 Debut\u2019, \u2018Student of the Year\u2019, \u2018Miss University\u2019 championship of the \u2018Club of the Merry and Quick-witted\u2019 League, literary and artistic meetings, special themed events; The Weeks of Technological Education, Psychology, Pedagogy, Foreign Languages, Speech Therapy and Primary Education; national and patriotic activities, as well as those aimed at maintaining a healthy lifestyle. For the first time the University Student Council, on its own initiative, held \u2018The Winter Charity Ball\u2019 in 2016.<\/p>\n
The artistic amateur groups of the University take an active part in international, national, regional festivals and competitions and take prize-winning places, in particular, in the regional competition of creative patriotic activities \u2018Spadshchyna\u2019 (Heritage) in Zaporizhzhia, All-Ukrainian festival-competition of a pop song \u2018Imperiia Zirok\u2019 (Empire of Stars) in Dnipro, Open international song and music competition \u2018Zolotyi Orfei\u2019 (Golden Orpheus) in Dnipro, National Arts competition \u2018Zornyia kvetki\u2019 (Star Flowers) in Mariupol, International dance competition \u2018Megalopolis\u2019 (in Kharkiv) and the Ukrainian championship of choreographic art (in Dnipro).<\/p>\n
Every year the University students are announced the winners of the regional contest \u2018Student of the Year\u2019 in such categories as \u2018Student as a Public Figure\u2019 (in 2016), \u2018Research Student of the Year\u2019 (in 2015), \u2018Students\u2019 Family\u2019(in 2014), etc. The University students are active participants and winners of the regional patriotic competition of student youth \u2018I am Ukrainian!\u2019<\/p>\n
